What is XML Sitemap?

Definition

An XML sitemap lists the URLs you want search engines to discover, along with useful details such as update dates.

Keep it clean

Include only canonical pages that return a 200 status, then submit the file in Search Console. A sitemap helps discovery, but it does not force a page to be indexed.
