What is A/B Testing?

Definition

A/B testing shows two versions of a page or element to similar visitors to learn which one performs better against a chosen goal.

Also known as:split testing

What makes a test useful

Test one meaningful change at a time, such as a headline or form length, and wait for enough traffic before deciding. Low-traffic sites often learn more from customer interviews first.
